Hostess – Guest Reception & Seating

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests at the all‑inclusive Rixos Premium Seagate resort. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations and ensure smooth seating flow in the restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, professional demeanor upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system and keep an accurate seating chart.
• Seat guests promptly, assigning tables based on party size and preferences.
• Provide menus, communicate specials and answer guest inquiries.
• Monitor dining‑room flow and coordinate with service staff for efficient table turnover.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations and assist with coat‑check and departure procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and adhere to health, safety and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the dining area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation management systems.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) software.
