Host/Hostess – Guest Services

About the role

Join Marriott International as a Host/Hostess in Cairo, where you will be the first point of contact for guests entering our dining venues. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage seating flow, and ensure every guest enjoys a smooth and pleasant dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, prepared tables.
• Pull out chairs, present menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
• Guide guests through the dining area, assist with special‑needs seating, and monitor table turnover.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures and keep menus current and wrinkle‑free.
• Observe safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Answer telephone calls with professional etiquette and uphold a polished personal appearance.
• Support team members, foster positive relationships, and contribute to overall service quality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills in English.
