Hotel General Manager

About the role

The Hotel General Manager will be based on‑site in Hurghada and will lead all operational areas of a luxury resort to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This full‑time position reports to senior leadership and works closely with sales, marketing and vendor partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance and guest services.
• Develop and coach department heads, fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
• Implement service, cleanliness and safety standards in line with brand expectations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control and monitor revenue performance.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to optimise occupancy and profitability.
• Handle escalated guest issues and ensure swift resolution.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience in hotel or resort management, preferably luxury or leisure properties.
• Proven track record in budgeting, financial planning and cost control.
• Strong background in food & beverage operations, including quality control and service standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
