Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team on Al Pasha Coast, Sharm El Sheikh. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and attend guest repair requests, communicating clearly to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and clean work areas.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters and perform basic plumbing tasks (e.g., unclog drains, plunge toilets).
• Repair electrical components, replace switches and outlets, and troubleshoot guestroom devices.
• Program televisions, perform general housekeeping‑related inventory duties, and use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter HVAC schedules and adjust temperature settings via computer.
• Follow all company safety, security and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry and finish work.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
