HR Staff Operations Officer

About the role

The Officer, HR Staff Operations will ensure accurate and compliant execution of HR processes for staff at the American University in Cairo. This role handles compensation, benefits, staff movements, and maintains employee data in SAP and Success Factors, supporting continuous improvement of HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for staff inquiries via in‑person, phone, email, or front‑office channels.
• Process daily staff affairs such as onboarding, off‑boarding, transfers, leaves, appointments, and adjustments in line with university policies.
• Execute and monitor employee benefit programs including pension, health, life insurance, and school loans.
• Maintain accurate staff records in SAP or Success Factors and ensure documentation quality.
• Generate periodic HR reports and provide data analysis for decision‑making.
• Contribute to evaluating and improving HR operational workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; HR diploma considered an asset.
• 7–9 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in HR, preferably in a university or large institution.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic, strong analytical and customer‑service orientation.
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, trustworthy with ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP HR module.
• Experience using Success Factors or similar HCM system.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
