Implementation Engineer – LAN, WAN, SDWAN, WLAN, Telephony & Security

About the role

Tech Mahindra is seeking an Implementation Engineer to design, deploy and support LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, WLAN, telephony and security solutions for customers in Egypt. The role involves hands‑on configuration of network devices, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring smooth service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and configure Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet networking equipment across LAN/WAN and SD‑WAN environments.
• Deploy and integrate telephony and security platforms such as Zscaler or Checkpoint.
• Perform routing protocol configuration (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IPv6) and manage VPN/MPLS connections.
• Collaborate with virtual teams and work on‑site at customer locations to resolve outages and incidents.
• Follow ITIL change and incident management processes and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications or a related field.
• 4–9 years of experience in network or IT implementation within a telecom/IT services environment.
• CCNA certification is mandatory; CCNP is preferred.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work independently.

Required skills

• Cisco Routing and Switching (including Nexus platforms).
• LAN/WAN topologies and protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IPv6, MPLS, VPN.
• SD‑WAN technologies (VeloCloud, Fortinet).
• Cloud services experience (Azure, AWS).
• Security platforms such as Zscaler or Checkpoint.
• Familiarity with Juniper and Fortinet devices.
• ITIL change and incident management processes.
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., OBS proprietary tools).
