In Room Dining Order Taker

About the role

Join the Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis team as an In‑Room Dining Order Taker and become the first point of contact for guests requesting room service. You will ensure a smooth, friendly, and efficient ordering experience that enhances each guest’s stay.

Key responsibilities

• Answer room‑service calls promptly, announce specials and promote menu items.
• Document orders, repeat items for accuracy, and provide expected arrival times.
• Enter orders into the point‑of‑sale (POS) system and deliver hard‑copy checks to servers.
• Process payments, verify totals, manage tips, and follow accounting guidelines.
• Handle guest complaints positively, negotiate solutions, and follow up.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform general health‑and‑safety cleaning tasks.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Integrity, teamwork, and a sense of ownership.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
• Familiarity with all menu items and ability to promote them.
• Basic English proficiency to understand guest inquiries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a POS system and keyboard entry.
