Inbound Logistics Coordinator

About the role
The Inbound Logistics Coordinator will manage end‑to‑end import logistics, customs clearance and production planning to ensure raw materials and finished goods are available when needed. Acting as the primary liaison between suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams, this role supports seamless supply‑chain execution for Haleon’s portfolio of health brands.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the full import process from purchase order issuance to final delivery at warehouses or manufacturing sites.
- Monitor shipment status across air, sea and land modes and ensure timely logistics execution.
- Review and verify shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, EUR1 and regulatory certificates.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian Customs requirements and company policies.
- Manage customs clearance activities, track declarations and resolve any documentation gaps.
- Control customs duties, taxes, demurrage, detention, storage charges and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Communicate with suppliers on shipment readiness, documentation needs and delivery schedules.
- Support import permits, regulatory approvals and product registration where required.
- Maintain shipment trackers and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Develop production plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels and manufacturing capacity.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, quality, regulatory and production teams to avoid supply disruptions.
- Monitor inventory levels, flag risks of shortages or excess stock and support S&OP activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing import logistics and customs clearance operations.
- Familiarity with Egyptian customs regulations and related documentation.
- Strong coordination skills with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and internal departments.
- Ability to track shipments, analyze logistics costs and propose efficiency improvements.
- Experience supporting production planning and inventory management.
Required skills
- Knowledge of import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, EUR1, regulatory certificates).
