Infection Control Specialist – El-Shorouk Branch

About the role

The Infection Control Specialist will ensure that all hospital staff follow strict sterilization, disinfection and decontamination procedures. You will work on the El‑Shorouk branch, supporting clinical teams to maintain a safe environment for patients and personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor infection‑prevention policies and procedures for staff, instruments and equipment.
• Conduct regular rounds in various departments to assess compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop and deliver educational programs and training for new and existing employees on infection‑prevention practices.
• Analyze and distribute monthly surveillance data to medical, nursing, quality and safety departments.
• Lead investigations of infection outbreaks, identify sources, implement control measures and report findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field (e.g., physician, pharmacist, dentist).
• Infection control diploma (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control, including experience with GAHAR accreditation processes.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and apply effective control measures.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to infection control.
