Information Technology Specialist

About the role

Milteks Egypt is seeking a hands‑on Information Technology Specialist to maintain and support the IT infrastructure of its textile manufacturing facility. The role involves daily operations, user support, system administration, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement of the company’s technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and support servers, computers, printers, scanners and other IT equipment across factory and office areas.
• Provide first‑level support for hardware, software, network and connectivity issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Monitor backup systems, verify successful completions and manage disaster‑recovery processes.
• Administer firewalls, antivirus and endpoint‑security solutions to protect the infrastructure.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date IT asset inventory, including hardware, software licences and consumables.
• Assist procurement by defining technical specifications for equipment and software.
• Create, modify and manage user accounts, permissions and access rights in the domain environment.
• Monitor network performance, support stable and secure network operations, and assist with VLAN, VPN and firewall configurations.
• Support implementation of IT policies, security standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with headquarters IT teams on infrastructure, security and system‑related projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure administration, system administration or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Good communication skills in English or Turkish.

• Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Network devices: switches, routers, access points, VLANs, VPNs, firewall administration.
• Backup solutions, disaster‑recovery and business continuity processes.
• Antivirus and endpoint‑security management.
• User account creation, domain management and access‑rights administration.
