Infrastructure & Recovery Consultant (Cloud Infrastructure & Recovery)

About the role

PwC is recruiting an Infrastructure and Recovery Consultant (listed as Senior Associate) in Cairo for its Advisory practice. The consultant leads the design, implementation and governance of secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions, working with client stakeholders, engineering teams and risk leaders. The role sits within a team reporting to senior leadership and delivers client-facing transformation programs across the PwC Global Network, including the UK, Germany and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment and optimization of secure, scalable infrastructure across hybrid environments, covering Windows/Linux systems, networking, storage and virtualization.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade disaster recovery solutions with isolation, rapid restore and analytical readiness, and maintain secure out-of-band communication channels.
• Implement and manage backup technologies such as Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault and Veeam.
• Oversee the lifecycle of infrastructure and software assets, ensuring compliance, observability and predictive maintenance through automation.
• Apply FinOps principles to drive visibility and cost optimization across cloud environments, supporting budgeting, forecasting and governance of cloud investments.
• Define and monitor SLIs and SLOs, lead incident response and post-incident reviews, and manage observability tools such as Azure Monitor and New Relic.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and Ansible, and integrate CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Mentor infrastructure and operations engineers and act as the primary technical liaison for clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure architecture and operations.
• Proven track record leading large-scale transformation and recovery projects in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Expertise in infrastructure design, disaster recovery, virtualization and backup technologies, aligned with business resilience goals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
