IT Administrator

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Cairo is looking for an IT Administrator to maintain the school's SABIS technologies and put their procedures into practice so that school operations run effectively and efficiently. The role sits in the Information & Digital Technologies department.

Key responsibilities

• Handle administrative tasks such as recruitment, training, plans, objectives, budgets, policies and procedures, and liaise with the regional IT operations and support team and SES.
• Install and deploy new SABIS software applications and releases, grant access rights, train end users, deploy support manuals and keep users informed of updates.
• Report faults and issues through SABIS IssueTrak Service Management.
• Procure, set up and configure servers, cabinets, switches and other hardware needed for the software solutions.
• Maintain the IT infrastructure, including the server room, IT systems and end-user devices, in line with SABIS policies and with the IT Infrastructure team.
• Maintain data integrity and backups.
• Set up and maintain workstations, PCs, thin clients, laptops and interactive whiteboards and provide user support.
• Design, implement and maintain all networks.
• Oversee the use of SES standard IT policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• English proficiency; local language where applicable.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Cisco or MCITP preferred.
• MS Office components.
• MS operating systems, Active Directory, server and user management.
• Networks and network security.
• Database management systems.
