IT Application Support Assistant Manager - Core Banking

About the role

The Bank is looking for an IT Application Support Assistant Manager in Cairo to support the effective implementation and use of its Management Information System. The role provides functional support and configuration management of the Core Banking application in line with business Service Level Agreements (SLA), and helps facilitate integration with other software applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional support of the Core Banking system and its interdependent interfaces
• Manage configuration, patches, updates and upgrades of the Core Banking system
• Support integration of the Core Banking system with other interconnected applications
• Provide business analysis and requirements gathering support for end-users
• Draft and implement the IT Disaster Recovery Plan with the IT team
• Anticipate Core Banking problems and implement preventive measures
• Install enhancements and operating procedures that improve application availability
• Handle and implement requests for application customizations
• Provide end-user training and investigate user problems to identify root causes
• Manage SLAs with application vendors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or another relevant degree from a recognized university; a master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage
• At least 7 years of experience in Core Banking support and configuration management in a modern international ICT environment
• Demonstrated expertise in managing banking application support processes, including application defect management
• Experience managing SLAs with application service providers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of the bank's other working languages is an added advantage

Required skills

• Core Banking software (Finacle particularly) is very desirable
• Solution architecture and system development life cycle
• Ability to develop customized software applications from functional specification
• Knowledge of the Agile development framework
