Java Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Java Development Engineer to join our software team and build robust backend services. You will work with Java SE 8+ and Spring Boot to create scalable, secure APIs that power our applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java SE (8 or higher) and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement and secure RESTful APIs.
• Support task planning and delivery, aligning with departmental tools and workflows.
• Perform verification and validation testing for software projects.
• Suggest technical upgrades and drive continuous improvements.
• Maintain, refactor, and optimise existing codebases.
• Build reusable libraries for use across multiple projects.
• Design user‑friendly, scalable interfaces.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework and Hibernate.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of micro‑services architecture (plus).
• Exposure to cloud technologies (plus).
• Proficiency with SQL Server and database management.
• Advanced knowledge of data structures, OOP, algorithms and problem‑solving.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• At least 1 year of experience in Java backend development.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and React; JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
