Junior Accountant – Accounts Payable (Outsourced)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The position is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career professional who wants to develop solid corporate accounting skills, focusing on accounts‑payable processes in a structured, outsourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring proper documentation, approvals and 3‑way matching with purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Record AP transactions in the accounting system in accordance with IFRS.
• Prepare and maintain vendor account reconciliations.
• Support weekly and monthly payment runs and coordinate with banks/treasury for payment execution.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities related to AP, including accruals and expense classification.
• Maintain organized AP records for audit and internal control purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and Egyptian tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax).
• Provide AP schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 0–1 years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
