Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join Blnkblnk, a fast‑growing fintech focused on point‑of‑sale financing in Egypt. The role offers hands‑on experience with core accounting processes and the chance to support the finance team in delivering accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
• Add and maintain fixed‑asset records in the accounting system.
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other statutory financial statements in line with GAAP.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Support senior accountants during month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and GAAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Experience with general‑ledger functions.
