Junior Data & Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data & Automation Engineer to join our technical team. You will support an existing environment that includes a search and analytics platform, low‑code workflow automation, and internally developed Python services integrated with third‑party SaaS APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health of data ingestion pipelines into the ELK/OpenSearch platform, identify back‑pressure, stalled jobs, and schema issues.
• Reprocess failed batches, manage dead‑letter queues, and assist with index lifecycle and cluster‑health checks.
• Support incremental updates to dashboards, visualizations, and metric fixes.
• Monitor scheduled and event‑driven workflow executions, triage failures, and apply template or credential updates.
• Maintain workflow stability when upstream APIs change, tracking queue depth and rate‑limit handling.
• Observe execution logs of internal Python services and AI‑assisted workflows, troubleshoot data ingestion, and apply configuration or prompt adjustments under senior review.
• Track operational cost anomalies, including API usage and compute.
• Write and maintain runbooks, recovery procedures, and production changelogs; participate in change windows and post‑incident reviews.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience with the ELK/OpenSearch stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, etc.).
• Experience with at least one low‑code workflow automation platform (e.g., n8n, Make, Zapier, Node‑RED, Apache Airflow).
• Comfortable working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proficiency on Linux (shell, SSH, log inspection, service management).
• Basic Docker knowledge (running containers, reading compose files, inspecting logs).
• Ability to read and write JSON and YAML.
• Capability to read and modify existing Python and JavaScript/Node.js code.
• Familiarity with REST APIs.
