Junior Data Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Data Engineer on the Customer Intelligence team, you will help build, scale, and maintain Henkel's global Customer Data Platform, creating a 360‑degree view of customers and turning raw data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on building and maintaining end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines using APIs, Service Connectors, Delta Sharing and Kafka streams.
• Use PySpark and SQL in Databricks to clean, transform and reshape ingestion data, applying Data Vault modeling.
• Support development of Gold/Business layer views for dashboards and feed data back to Adobe Experience Platform via APIs and streaming pipelines.
• Write version‑controlled code with Git, participate in CI/CD DevOps workflows, and monitor pipelines with Databricks Workflows and Delta Live Tables.
• Develop automated data quality tests, maintain technical documentation and enforce data governance standards.

Required profile

• Solid programming skills in Python and strong SQL query optimization abilities.
• Basic understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts and Git version control.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile team.
• Proactive learner eager to grow in Data Vault modeling and Data Mesh paradigms.
