Junior DSP & AI Engineer

About the role

Pulse for Integrated Solutions GmbH is building intelligent systems that turn raw physiological signals into clinically meaningful information. As a Junior DSP & AI Engineer you will work hands‑on across the full AI lifecycle, from signal processing to model deployment, while being mentored by senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Research, develop, and evaluate AI and machine‑learning algorithms for signal‑analysis problems.
• Design, train, and benchmark deep‑learning models using diverse signal inputs.
• Develop and maintain digital filters that clean physiological signals while preserving diagnostic morphology.
• Build Python tooling to support the AI development workflow.
• Contribute to backend decision‑logic systems in Java with solid OOP design.
• Construct and operate data pipelines, handling versioning with tools such as DVC.
• Track experiments and manage model lifecycles using MLOps tools like MLflow.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize models in production with a focus on performance‑to‑cost trade‑offs.
• Document all work rigorously to ensure reproducibility.

Required profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and solid fundamentals.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming with Java.
• Foundations in machine learning/deep learning with hands‑on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Working knowledge of digital signal processing (filtering, FFT, sampling), preferably on time‑series signals.
• Comfortable with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation and reproducibility.
• Eagerness to learn in a structured, quality‑driven environment.
