Junior Hardware Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Hardware Maintenance Technician to join our IT team in Smart Village, Giza. You will provide on‑site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation for all business users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT devices.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures, replacing components such as RAM, hard drives, power supplies, motherboards and peripherals.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep devices running at optimal performance.
• Upgrade hardware components as required and support users with hardware‑related issues both onsite and remotely.
• Manage hardware inventory, spare parts and asset records.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, warranty claims and technical assistance.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs and support requests.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and assist in workstation setup, relocation and deployment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in hardware maintenance and technical support.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with desktop, laptop, printer and network device maintenance.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
