Junior OCC Controller

About the role

The Junior OCC (Operations Control Centre) Controller monitors real‑time LRT train operations, ensuring safety, reliability and punctuality across the mainline and depot. Working closely with the OCC Duty Chief Controller, depot staff and maintenance teams, the role supports incident response, power‑network management and service continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise train movements, inject or remove trains according to the timetable, and manage short‑loops or turn‑backs as instructed.
• Apply regulation actions to minimise delays, handle incidents and degraded service scenarios, and record real‑time notes for post‑incident reporting.
• Monitor onboard conditions for passenger comfort, coordinate train exchanges for defective units, and inform Customer Information Officers of traffic conditions.
• Maintain communication with the OCC Duty Chief Controller, depot staff and maintenance teams; assist in report preparation and guide shunting drivers.
• Define track allocation for depot entries/exits, coordinate shunting, stabling and unstabling sequences, and schedule train washing operations.
• Control HV, MV and LV traction power networks, configure depot power for maintenance, and shut down power in emergencies.
• Follow up on maintenance activities to align train circulation with rolling‑stock availability.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of rail operations and timetable management.
• Ability to react quickly to incidents and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of depot procedures, shunting operations and power‑network safety.
• Attention to detail for accurate incident documentation and compliance.
