Landscape Project Designer (Concept)

About the role

The Landscape Project Designer leads the conceptualisation and initial design phases of high‑profile projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create inspiring, functional, and sustainable landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Concept development: lead ideation and design from initial sketches to high‑level concepts.
• Collaboration and leadership: work closely with architects, engineers and sub‑consultants, mentor junior designers and act as primary client contact during the conceptual phase.
• Design documentation: produce detailed sketches, renderings and presentations; oversee concept‑level drawings, diagrams and reports.
• Sustainability and innovation: integrate sustainable practices and innovative materials, stay informed on emerging trends and technologies.
• Project oversight: ensure deliverables meet high‑quality standards and deadlines, provide strategic input for transition to detailed design.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in landscape design with a strong focus on conceptual development.
• Proven leadership experience managing design teams and client relationships.
• Visionary thinking with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to balance creativity with practical considerations.
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills.
