Lead Sales and Marketing Engineer

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced, customer‑focused Sales and Accounts Manager to drive growth within the Renewables segment. You will lead sales activities across the assigned territory, build a sustainable opportunity pipeline, and deliver on annual sales targets while supporting the company’s mission of a sustainable energy future.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with assigned customer accounts, becoming a trusted partner for their energy infrastructure needs.
• Identify, create, and maintain a strong sales opportunity pipeline within Salesforce to achieve business growth objectives.
• Partner with Account Managers, Pre‑Sales teams, and channel partners to develop and execute sales plans for products and solutions.
• Lead complex sales opportunities and strategic accounts with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in the energy industry, including sales, business development and account management.
• Strong understanding of the Utility and Energy T&D market, customer landscape and industry trends.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships, develop sales strategies and meet revenue targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
