Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist will ensure safety‑focused training compliance across the organization. You will manage the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinate training sessions, and support stakeholders to keep certifications up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor training compliance in the LMS and work with Regional Safety Officers and People & Organization teams to close gaps before expiration.
• Schedule and organize training sessions based on departmental needs, certification requirements, and regulatory mandates.
• Process training requests, enrollments, and completions, maintaining accurate documentation in the LMS/TMS.
• Manage participant registration, attendance tracking, and record keeping in line with service level agreements.
• Conduct regular competency assessments, identify skill gaps, and coordinate rig assessment schedules.
• Serve as primary contact for RSOs, Rig Managers, and P&O specialists regarding training inquiries.
• Collect post‑training feedback to continuously improve program relevance.
• Maintain data integrity in HRIS, LMS, and other tracking platforms, suggesting process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of experience in training management or a related field.
• Proven ability to work with LMS/TMS and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record management.
• Effective communication with cross‑functional stakeholders.
