Learning Disabilities Teacher (2026-2027)

About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a dedicated Learning Disabilities Teacher (LDD) to join the team for the academic year 2026-2027. The role focuses on delivering tailored instruction to students with learning disabilities, fostering both academic progress and social‑emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and identify the learning needs of students with learning disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student’s unique challenges and goals.
• Provide specialized teaching and support that promote academic progress and social‑emotional development.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate effective strategies and accommodations into mainstream classrooms.
• Maintain detailed records on student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
• Engage with parents and caregivers to foster collaboration and support for students' learning journeys.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience specifically supporting students with learning disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of learning disabilities and evidence‑based teaching strategies.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting diverse learners.
• Relevant teaching certification or specialization in learning disabilities is a plus.
• Commitment to safeguarding; successful candidates will undergo comprehensive background checks and reference verification.
