About the role

The Egypt Education Platform is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for the 2026‑2027 academic year at GEMS British International School of Madinaty. The role focuses on providing tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement individualized educational strategies and interventions for students with unique learning requirements.
• Assist in creating and updating Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students needing extra academic support.
• Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and resources, ensuring accessibility for all learners.
• Monitor student engagement and progress, delivering reports that inform instructional adjustments.
• Promote positive social interaction and help students develop communication skills during group activities.
• Stay updated on best practices in special‑needs education and contribute to a nurturing classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• A degree or relevant qualification in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a comparable educational role is highly desirable.
• Understanding of various learning disabilities and effective support techniques.
• Strong empathy, patience, and commitment to individual student success.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, teachers, and parents.
