Learning Support Assistant – Academic Year 2026‑2027

About the role

The Egypt Education Platform is seeking a collaborative Learning Support Assistant to join GEMS British International School of Madinaty for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role focuses on providing tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement individualized educational strategies and interventions for students with unique learning requirements.
• Assist in creating and updating Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students needing extra academic support.
• Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and resources, making them accessible to all learners.
• Monitor student engagement and progress, reporting insights to inform instructional adjustments.
• Promote positive social interaction and help develop communication skills during group activities.
• Stay updated on best practices in special‑needs education and contribute to a nurturing classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• A degree or relevant qualification in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of learning disabilities and effective support techniques.
• Excellent communication, empathy, patience, and a commitment to student well‑being.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic educational setting.
