Legal Manager

About the role

Arcera, a global life‑sciences company, is seeking a Legal Manager to provide comprehensive legal support for its Egypt operations. Based in Al‑Obour City, the role reports to the Legal Director and works closely with business functions and Headquarters Legal to manage risks, oversee corporate matters and support commercial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all legal affairs for the Egypt region, including commercial licences and compliance with local commercial laws.
• Act as Company Secretary for Egyptian entities and advise on corporate governance.
• Support business development, M&A and in‑licensing transactions in collaboration with Headquarters Legal.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as licensing, distribution, service, promotional and regulatory contracts.
• Implement risk‑identification processes, training programmes and monitor legislative changes affecting the pharmaceutical sector.
• Maintain contract repositories and ensure the electronic contract database is up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of legal experience, preferably in pharma, healthcare, life‑sciences or FMCG.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate and commercial legislation.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, manage multiple priorities and maintain high integrity.
