Legal Manager – Retail Sector

About the role

The Legal Manager will lead the provision of legal services, advice, and representation across the organization. Working from the Head Office in Egypt, the role ensures compliance with laws, mitigates risk, and supports business operations within the retail sector.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, legal notices and other documents to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable laws.
• Provide legal advice on business transactions, disputes, claims, liabilities and regulatory obligations.
• Conduct legal due diligence and assess risks associated with commercial and operational activities.
• Research laws, regulations, precedents and industry developments to protect business interests.
• Support litigation management by gathering evidence, preparing documentation and coordinating with external counsel.
• Review company policies and practices to ensure legal accuracy and minimize risk.
• Monitor emerging legal issues, report potential risks and drive timely resolution.
• Lead, coach and develop the legal team through performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• Minimum 6 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in the retail sector.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, contracts, compliance and legal risk management.
• Excellent business communication, drafting and presentation abilities.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead teams and work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
