Logistics Operations Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for end‑to‑end management of incoming shipments across multiple product categories, ensuring timely clearance, transport, and storage while complying with regulatory and customs requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full shipment cycle, from Advanced Cargo ID (ACID) creation to safe arrival at warehouses.
• Handle diverse shipment types including pharma, NFSA, innovators, cosmetics, veterinary products, and reference standards.
• Use the Nafeza platform to issue ACID numbers and track shipments.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to obtain booking details and confirm document uploads on Cargo‑X.
• Track shipment status and maintain original shipping documents.
• Liaise with Finance and banking partners to ensure payment procedures are completed.
• Work with Regulatory Affairs to obtain EDA/NFSA stamps.
• Collaborate with customs brokers for swift release of materials.
• Notify Warehouse Management of arrivals, required storage conditions, and related details.
• Oversee transport and clearance of imported material, either directly or via external forwarders.
• Develop and implement logistics policies to ensure compliance with customs and excise regulations.
• Ensure effective handling of all imported shipment activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics and shipment coordination.
• Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and regulatory documentation.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Warehouse Management.
• Experience handling regulated products (pharma, cosmetics, veterinary, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Nafeza platform.
• Experience using Cargo‑X for document management.
• Knowledge of the Advanced Cargo ID (ACID) process.
