Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable and safe operation of factory machinery and equipment. The role focuses on executing preventive maintenance, supporting troubleshooting, and collaborating with senior engineers to improve plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance plans.
• Perform routine inspections of mechanical components (motors, bearings, conveyors) and electrical systems (panels, wiring, sensors).
• Report early signs of wear, faults or inefficiencies and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Assist in diagnosing and fixing basic electrical (PLC, sensors, wiring) and mechanical faults, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns under supervision and escalate complex problems to senior engineers.
• Support installation, commissioning and minor modifications of new equipment.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and on‑the‑job training.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and report hazards immediately.
• Record maintenance activities, update checklists, and collect data for analysis.
• Track spare‑part usage, report shortages and ensure proper storage of components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in FMCG, manufacturing or production environments.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Understanding of basic industrial safety practices.
