Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable operation of our mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement of equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, calibration and part replacements.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures, diagnose mechanical or electrical issues and execute repairs or component swaps.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop schedules that minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
• Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs and performance data.
• Monitor equipment performance indicators, identify trends and propose reliability improvements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare‑part procurement.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (FMCG or food processing).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
