Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of all plant equipment through corrective and preventive actions. You will lead a multi‑skilled technical team, manage spare‑part inventories, and drive continuous improvement in a food‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and continuously update the preventive maintenance (PM) plan based on equipment condition and history.
• Minimize breakdowns by reducing response time and delivering optimal solutions quickly.
• Implement excellence initiatives (EXIM) and ensure timely execution of the TIPlan.
• Procure required spare parts and consumables to guarantee parts availability.
• Lead, motivate, and evaluate a team of technicians, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive actions, addressing audit non‑conformances.
• Manage the PM budget, track year‑on‑year efficiencies, and report maintenance expenses.
• Utilize SAP Maintenance module for PM scheduling, reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Develop and implement predictive and proactive maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical assets.
• Apply FMEA and root‑cause analysis (RCA) to improve reliability.
• Participate in food‑safety team activities and operator technical training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant maintenance engineering, preferably in a GMP‑controlled environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a technical team.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams on reliability and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and loss‑prevention standards.
