Maintenance & Installation Engineer - Med Gas Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance & Installation Engineer is responsible for the end‑to‑end upkeep and commissioning of medical gas and cryogenic equipment in hospitals and other healthcare facilities across Egypt. The role ensures equipment reliability, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform preventive and emergency mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance on bulk/micro‑bulk tanks, medical air, vacuum and cylinder stations.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring breakdowns.
• Carry out pre‑installation site surveys, create technical designs (P&IDs and drawings), manage tank placement and commissioning.
• Provide technical hand‑overs to clients and deliver training on equipment operation.
• Support the commercial team with pre‑contract site inspections and technical design proposals.
• Supervise on‑site project execution to meet safety, technology, budget and construction targets.
• Respond to internal and external audits related to maintenance and installation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in medical‑gas or cryogenic equipment maintenance.
• Fluent English.
• Strong communication and customer‑centric mindset.
• Ability to manage teams, customers and multiple locations in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Creation and interpretation of P&IDs.
• Root‑cause analysis (RCA) techniques.
• Mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance expertise.
