Maintenance Manager – 6th of October Plant

About the role

The 6th of October Plant is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead its maintenance department. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation of all production equipment, facilities and support systems while driving cost‑effective initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the departmental budget covering staffing, spares, consumables, major overhauls and new projects.
• Analyse maintenance priorities, set goals aligned with the Annual Operating Plan and implement effective preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee upkeep of buildings, grounds, service and production equipment, ensuring uninterrupted operation of CO₂ systems, boilers, HVAC and other support facilities.
• Develop and enforce control procedures such as work orders, schedules and equipment listings.
• Lead major construction, installation projects and coordinate resources across multiple facilities.
• Maintain safe operating conditions, promptly correcting any hazards.
• Set performance standards for the maintenance team, coach staff, and promote continuous improvement using visual‑factory concepts.
• Develop staffing and skill‑building plans to enhance technical mastery.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree from a recognized institution.
• 5‑7 years of plant maintenance or engineering experience.
• Proven project‑management abilities (timeline, budget, resource management).
• Strong people‑management and communication skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
