Maintenance Manager – Concentrates & IQF

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department for our concentrates and IQF processing lines. The role oversees evaporators, aseptic fillers, various freezers and cold storage systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Manage industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia and glycol‑based) ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and energy efficiency.
• Lead mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utilities teams, handling staffing, training and performance management.
• Plan and control the maintenance budget, spare‑parts inventory and contractor services.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and failure‑mode investigations to improve OEE.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production planning to minimise disruption.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Maintenance, TPM and Reliability‑Centered Maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and support new equipment installation and commissioning.
• Prepare and present maintenance KPIs, downtime reports and improvement plans to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of progressive maintenance experience in food processing, juice/concentrate or frozen food manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, spare‑parts inventory and contractor relationships.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required skills

• Industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia/NH3) operation and safety.
• Freezing technology and thermal processing equipment.
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) usage.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Root‑cause analysis and failure‑mode investigation.
• Lean Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM).
