Manager Operations - tMart

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring a Manager Operations for its tMart business in Maadi. The role manages the full operations end to end, covering team operations, inventory, pick-and-pack, property and assets, standards, expenses and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Inventory management: ensure correct processes and policies, including stock-in and stock-out, shrinkage and expiry control, and quality of fresh food.
• Pick-and-pack process: ensure efficient picking and packing, staffing and scheduling aligned with demand to achieve the desired UTR and service level.
• Property and asset management: manage facilities, assets and their tracking.
• Expense control: identify ways to reduce costs while keeping operational efficiency.
• Maintenance: define guidelines for engineering and maintenance tasks, including outsourcing versus internal services, local versus regional contracts and preventive maintenance plans.
• Manage productivity, work standards and staff development, and monitor store costs against budget.
• Monitor financial and operational performance of each store, develop action plans with the department manager, and run training and development programs.
• Ensure equipment and infrastructure are used and maintained properly, and monitor product range availability.

Required profile

• At least 7+ years of experience developing and managing multiple product categories, preferably in large retailers in an international setting; experience in fulfillment, e-commerce or FMCG retail is a plus.
• Experience building teams and leading cross-functional projects at scale.
• Able to interact with senior executives and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English and Arabic are highly advantageous.
