Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer – 8 to 12 years experience

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer to lead the maintenance team in a large industrial plant. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and improving maintenance activities while ensuring safety and efficiency across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance technicians, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
• Record spare‑parts transactions in the SAP system and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Develop and implement periodic maintenance plans and an annual maintenance program in coordination with management.
• Prepare daily, monthly and yearly maintenance reports and analyse downtime to recommend process improvements.
• Ensure the safety and proper operation of fire‑fighting, fire‑alarm and CCTV systems, and generate related reports.
• Conduct technical studies to assess performance, downtime and safety, providing actionable recommendations.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental and quality procedures throughout all maintenance activities.
• Act as a technical expert for complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, applying high‑level analytical techniques.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and consumables, assessing quality and identifying improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Strong technical process knowledge and equipment/materials expertise.
• Proven scheduling and planning abilities.
