Material Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Material Controller to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials for construction projects, ensuring that all required items are available according to the project schedule. The role works closely with Procurement, Purchasing, Technical Office and Warehouse teams to manage material movement, tracking and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite movement of materials between projects and internal departments to meet the project schedule.
• Review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and record material requirements in collaboration with the Technical Office, Procurement and Purchasing.
• Monitor material production with suppliers and track expected arrival dates on site.
• Handle receiving, checking, storage and preservation of materials delivered to the site.
• Control material waste, maintain agreement status (draft or final) and report to senior management.
• Generate reports on required and available materials, material status logs and submittal logs.
• Follow up supplier payments with the Accounting department.
• Validate purchase requests against warehouse credit and issue purchase orders.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, risk assessments and environmental aspects.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in material control, procurement or related field.
• Good command of the English language.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
