Material Handler III – Warehouse Operator

About the role

Under limited supervision, the Material Handler III works independently to plan and build loads for flat‑bed trailers and weld bays, ensuring safe transportation and efficient downstream processing. The role involves operating various mobile equipment and positioning trailers within the yard and loading areas.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and build loads of materials onto flat‑bed trailers and within weld bays (≈70%).
• Position flat‑bed trailers and material in the yard, loading bays and staging areas (≈10%).
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective‑action activities (≈10%).
• Complete required paperwork, scanning and documentation (≈5%).
• Perform housekeeping, 5S and other assigned duties (≈5%).

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with advanced judgment in load planning.
• Compliance with safety, environmental, quality and Zero Harm/Zero Defects policies.
• Willingness to use required personal protective equipment.

Required skills

• Operation of forklift, combi‑lift, side‑loader and overhead crane.
• Use of yard spotter (yard dog) truck for trailer positioning.
• Load planning and stacking calculations.
• Use of computers, scanners and tablets for documentation.
