Mechanical Construction Team Leader

About the role

The Mechanical Construction Team Leader will oversee a crew of skilled and unskilled workers on a construction site in Cairo, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with project plans. Acting as the first line of leadership, the role bridges the workforce with site management to keep the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and allocate tasks to a team of construction workers, monitoring daily and weekly targets.
• Ensure work complies with technical drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Report progress, delays and issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials, guaranteeing proper use and upkeep.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce compliance with safety procedures.
• Resolve on‑site problems, adjust work plans and coordinate with other trades (civil, MEP, etc.) to avoid conflicts.
• Maintain discipline, a productive work environment and quality workmanship, reporting any deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials and site operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Familiarity with local safety standards and regulations.
