Mechanical Design Engineer – HVAC

About the role

UniPower is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in HVAC to work on‑site in Qesm 2nd 6 October. You will design and develop HVAC systems that support the company’s power and engineering solutions, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical and HVAC designs, technical drawings, and 3D models.
• Perform calculations and simulations to verify system performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Align designs with client requirements, regulatory standards, and UniPower quality guidelines.
• Review and update design documentation, support installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical input during troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Continuously improve design practices and stay current with HVAC technologies and standards.
• Contribute to proposals, technical reports, and documentation as needed.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and HVAC design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; HVAC certifications are a plus.
• Experience in product design, system integration, and applying engineering principles to power and building systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC standards, codes, load calculations, duct and piping sizing, and equipment selection.
• Ability to read technical documents, schematics, and produce clear engineering reports.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for on‑site multidisciplinary collaboration.
