Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Superpack is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team in 6th of October. The role involves creating and developing mechanical designs from concept through detailed drawings, supporting prototype builds and ensuring designs meet safety, performance and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components, mechanisms and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Translate product requirements into detailed designs, bills of materials and technical specifications.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis to validate design feasibility.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and procurement teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost‑effective.
• Support prototype assembly, participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement of design processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of machine and product design principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for on‑site multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience in 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of mechanical component design, mechanisms and assemblies.
