Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Immensa is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Cairo engineering team. You will work with scanned and mesh data to create accurate CAD models, perform reverse‑engineering tasks, and produce detailed engineering drawings that meet ASME Y14.5 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Reverse engineer and redesign mechanical components and assemblies.
• Interpret 3D scanned data (STL files, dimensions, surface features, material, hardness) and convert it into final CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Review designs for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Define tolerances based on fitment requirements to guide manufacturing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in reverse engineering and CAD design of functional components.
• Hands‑on experience with SolidWorks; familiarity with Geomagics DesignX is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and generating manufacturing drawings, with solid knowledge of dimensional tolerance and surface‑fit terminology.
• Experience with laser 3D scanners is advantageous.
