Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design

About the role

UniPower is seeking a full‑time Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC design to work on‑site in Qesm 2nd 6 October. The role involves creating complete HVAC solutions for industrial and commercial facilities, from load calculations to detailed construction drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform HVAC load calculations and select appropriate equipment.
• Develop ductwork, piping, and equipment layout drawings using CAD tools.
• Prepare detailed design documents, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, attend site visits, and support installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Review project specifications, assist in tender preparation, and resolve design issues during execution.
• Maintain design standards, documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of HVAC practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering and HVAC system design principles.
• Experience with industrial or commercial HVAC projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards such as ASHRAE and local building regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.

• Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) for HVAC layouts and documentation.
