Mechanical Engineer Supervisor – Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer Supervisor will provide senior on‑site leadership and technical oversight for the Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) section at Sukari’s mining complex. Based on‑site in Marsa Alam, the role ensures safe construction, integration, and quality assurance of heavy industrial mechanical installations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on oversight of steel structure fabrication, industrial piping assembly, and heavy equipment integration.
• Manage compliance with AWS welding standards and ASME codes for steel layouts and precision alignment.
• Direct pipeline fabrication, field welding, hydrostatic pressure testing, and component alignment for valves, pumps, and plant fittings.
• Enforce rigorous QA/QC inspection and testing procedures to guarantee 100% adherence to design drawings and specifications.
• Interpret and troubleshoot complex technical drawings, structural schematics, and P&IDs.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary contractor crews and over 60 internal field personnel, resolving technical roadblocks to meet aggressive timelines.
• Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all construction activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy construction, steel structures, or industrial piping.
• Proven ability to lead large contractor teams and manage on‑site operations.
