Mechanical Inspection Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Inspection Engineer will ensure the integrity, reliability and safe operation of all mechanical equipment at the Sokhna cement plant. By conducting thorough inspections, condition monitoring and quality control, the role helps minimise unplanned downtime and supports continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect critical equipment such as rotary kilns, coolers, pre‑heater systems, ball mills and crushers.
• Measure and monitor equipment conditions, analyse trends and recommend maintenance actions while respecting production constraints.
• Plan and execute regular inspections, generate work orders and perform first‑line analysis of any anomalies.
• Participate in the Reliability Steering Committee, drive root‑cause analysis of incidents and implement corrective solutions.
• Analyse inspection KPIs, propose performance improvements and ensure maintenance practices meet quality standards.
• Manage vibration measurements, vibration analysis, equipment balancing and laser alignment activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment used in cement production.
• Commitment to HSE legislation, company policies and required safety competencies.
• Ability to interpret inspection data, identify trends and prioritise corrective actions.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional reliability or maintenance team.
