Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Food Production

About the role

Sky Healthy Food is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability of its production equipment and utilities. The role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, supporting the maintenance team during breakdowns, and coordinating with external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in machinery, utilities, and equipment.
• Provide technical support to technicians during breakdowns and repairs.
• Distribute work orders, monitor their completion, and document progress in logs and reports.
• Ensure maintenance activities follow the established maintenance plan and safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and manage procurement of new supplies.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and negotiate service terms.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning Engineer to implement maintenance strategies.
• Assist in monitoring maintenance expenses and support budget management.
• Conduct training sessions for technicians on new machinery and maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the food & beverage sector.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
