Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Production Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead troubleshooting and repair of production and packaging equipment in our food manufacturing plant. The role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical troubleshooting and repair of ovens, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and HVAC.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all production equipment.
• Analyze breakdown data, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the production team to schedule interventions and reduce downtime.
• Manage spare parts specifications, sourcing, and inventory.
• Support installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities.
• Guide and mentor on‑site maintenance technicians.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in the food/FMCG industry.
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics is a plus).

Required skills

• Gearboxes and motor maintenance.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge.
• Mechanical alignment and root‑cause analysis.
• Understanding of electrical/control systems.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
