Mechanical Quantity Surveyor – Tendering & Bidding

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to lead tendering and bidding activities for our mechanical projects in Cairo. The role involves accurate material take‑offs, preparation of RFQ packages and support to the tender administration team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed material take‑offs for HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage and fire‑protection systems directly from tender drawings and specifications, using digital measurement software.
• Prepare and issue RFQ packages, draft Bills of Quantities and verify drawings against the Bill of Quantities to identify discrepancies.
• Assist the tendering team in assembling complete technical and commercial tender dossiers, ensuring compliance with client requirements and tight deadlines.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in mechanical quantity surveying or tendering.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and solid working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit MEP for quantity extraction and drawing verification.
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction standards and codes such as ASHRAE, SMACNA and NFPA.
• In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems (chilled water networks, VRF, DX units, FCUs, AHUs, ducting), plumbing & drainage layouts, and fire‑protection systems.
• High level of technical precision, strong organizational skills and professional communication.
